Carpe Blogiem: Topics Requested

Okay, so I'm looking for topics for my blog and for Patreon articles. Suggest something below in the comments box and I'll add it to the list of possible topics. Most posts are between 500 and 750 words for most subjects, I break them up into parts after that. Patreon articles start at 750 and go up. As always, I look forward to see what you folks suggest.

  1. "Freebie Disadvantages" and ways to make players earn their points?
That's the one big low hanging fruit I can think of that doesn't have enough coverage that can be tackled in a lot of creative ways and doesn't take too much space.

  2. I would like to see more on Ritual Path Magic, and especially the Effect Shaping variant of it which is likely to become the default in our games just because of a) so much less dice rolling (and no having to keep track of running totals and quirk counts) and b) what it does to smooth out the power curve (my low skill caster can now do simple spells most of the time, and won't turn into a god once they get past a certain point).

I'm also curious on your thoughts on some other aspects of RPM, like what is and isn't permanent (creating a sword out of nothing obviously isn't, but TKing something across the room is (in the sense that when the spell runs out it doesn't shift back), but if you use magic to reshape a bar of steel into a sword, does that wear off, or do the equivalent of Shape Stone?).

I love it as a magic system, but the edge cases can get interesting.
