Dramatis Personae

Previously . . .

Once Flit gets them together with the group, she starts to teleport around the city checking out nearby bars for Nash’s presence. Taking her barely a couple minutes before she locates him at a bar talking to some folks. One wearing a mechanic’s coveralls that are way too small for them and another with funky looking skin with what looks like really bad psoriasis and another sitting in a corner randomly shocking things to create noises. The big guy is known as Abomination, ugly mean and gets larger the angrier he gets, apparently one of the few breakouts from the prison. There’s Crocodile Lyle sitting there with the skin condition. Lightning Bug is playing the electric fork. There’s one more red eyed man known as Berzerker that is known to be a major bruiser and someone that just kills for fun. The one that Nash is speaking with is Abomination.

Harlowe starts looking at things, suggesting that they roofie Abomination with some mood stabilizers and then maybe go through with the rest if possible. First thing first, however, is to get some DNA for Harvey to start creating some custom drugs for them. Flit creates some holes and starts getting information for Harvey. Gathering the samples and making some power dampeners for most of them, excepting Crocodile Lyle who he failed to pluck some DNA from. Harlowe gets Harvey to apply some of the power dampener to a glove and gets Gigajewel to white trash herself up a bit, go in and slap Lightning Bug to get her hit with the power dampening drug. While Flit scouts with a portal, Lyle’s head pops up and then he looks over at Nash where Nash frowns. He sticks his hand through the portal and they’re moved along with the rest.

They’re moved to the front of the bar where the five are walking out of the bar. Nash comes out where Lyle is pointing at the group. Nash asks how they’re doing, that they could have come in for a drink but Lyle tells him that they’re planning on doing something bad. He tells them that he’s probably going to have to kill them but he’ll probably feel bad about it. Not really though. Nash introduces the group to the rest.

Harlowe, having gotten to his feet, activates his Force Armor and then presses the open button on the remote for Gigajewel’s cuffs. Fiona yells at bystanders to get out of there as Berzerker charges at the group to grapple Flit who teleports out of the way. Harvey aims his wrist gun at Berzerker to hit him in the leg with a power dampening bullet who then starts frothing at the mouth and eying Harvey as his new enemy. Flit uses her innerportation attack on Berzerker’s other, non-syringe filled leg, putting penny sized holes into his leg. Abomination, meanwhile, starts charging towards Fiona to slam her, but she gets out of the way. Nash stays where he is while turning the oxygen into chlorine around bystanders. Gigajewel starts screaming at the sky crying out that they’ve been Thunderstuck and summons lightning. Lyle teleports out of the way while Nash turns to a gas, Lightning Bug just takes it while Abomination takes it on the chin. Lyle teleports right behind Flit and uses his innerportation on Flit’s hand which she manages to resist. Lightning Bug and Gigajewel trade lightning.

Harlowe charges forwards and knocks the two bystanders out of the cloud of chlorine gas and then tries to throw some force waves at Lightning Bug who turns to electricity and travels along an overhead wire. Fiona turns around and slices at Abomination’s leg and dodges out of her reach, leaving a nice hole in the cement where he was previously standing. Berzerker turns and rams Harvey when Gigajewel amps up her electricity and reflexively stuns him with a large amount of electricity. Harvey hits Berzerker with a regular round from his gauss gun to the chest and a pulse from his plasma caster in the leg before stepping back. Flit turns around to face Lyle to kick him in the nards, but he uses his outerportation to cause Flit to kick herself in the shin, breaking it and falling off the roof, only to teleport next to a light pole holding onto it. Abomination turns to trade blows with Fiona as Gigajewel amps up her electricity on Berzerker, turning his arm to a crisp. Lyle comes after Flit and innerports her leg but she manages to resist. Lightning Bug goes to insulate Berzerker.

Harlowe, using his force constructs, cages Nash immediately and places a permeable field within so that even if he tries to move he’ll be knocked all around. Fiona slashes at Abomination, managing to wound him enough to cripple the limb. Berzerker grapples Gigajewel and damages her while still being hurt in return by her electrical aura, knocking him out. Harvey moves to fire the gauss gun at Abomination full of drugs, knocking him out, and the plasma caster at Lightning Bug hitting her in the groin causing her to scream and fall to the ground crying. Flit, meanwhile, is still facing Lyle, as she innerports his family jewels, taking him to the ground. Gigajewel finally knocks out Lightning Bug.

Aftermath

While discussing what to do with the remainder of the opponents when Nemesis drops from the sky. Giving them a grunt of admiration and telling them that he’ll take care of the rest. Harvey administers first aid to Flit as Harlowe makes sure that Gigajewel puts the cuffs back on, just staring at him as though somewhat insulted that he’d think that she’d not follow her word. They watch as people come out of the alleys and starts attaching devices to the people there, except for Nash. As Flit opens a portal to Harvey’s lab convoy, Nemesis tells Harlowe that they’ll be in touch. Harlowe just gives a nod and calls him Sir before leaving on the understanding that they’ll probably never see Nash alive again.

After Action Report (GM)

This was a mostly combat session but boy the talk-y parts were great. The PCs got to flex a bit and that’s important when you’re dealing with characters with powers. You need to let your players play the abilities sometimes.  Overall, not much to comment about. Slowly but surely bringing everyone around to the same theme and time so we can do a massive and gonzo session (eventually).
