Riker’s Metahuman Containment Facility

1500 Hazen St, East Elmhurst, NY
There’s several “people” on the first floor that are visibly fritzing and a guard bleeding out on the upper floor. She can feel a deep pounding pulse coming from outside. They manage to get the guard stabilized and out of danger when Fiona fills his veins with freshly conjured water before Harvey comes down and sprays him. Harlowe hands over the remote to Gigajewel’s cuffs and tells her that she’ll know when to use it when the time is right to disable Blitzkrieg. Harvey stands with Flit using his stealth fields to determine where the best place to open portals are and looking at villains, hostages, others. They have Glamour Maker ready to make illusions of the guards while Fiona quickly slips the guards from their bonds, slips them out of the prison under the table via Flit’s portals.
Gigajewel drops into Blitzkrieg’s room via wire travel, slaps the cuffs on his robotic body and hits the activation button on the remote activating them and deactivating Blitzkrieg as Fiona floods the room and starts rescuing the guards, managing to get them down and out safely before they have Harvey unleash the gas that he mixed up, knocking out most of them with Gigajewel shocking the rest into unconsciousness.
Aftermath
Harlowe tries to look at the fritzed people while the rest of the group just jokes around and Fiona hits them to see if it changes anything when the Warden approaches them and thanks them. They can get the prison up and running again, though there’s still a lot of prisoners that have broken out.
After Action Report (GM)
Very short session thanks to me getting ill about 50 minutes in and having to quit. The PCs did manage to pull off a perfectly executed plan and rescue the hostages and took down the prisoners. It was pretty impressive…but I fear boring. There is more fun to be had when things go sideways then when everything goes off without a hitch. It wasn’t even the rolls they made or their innate abilities. They just had a really good plan, abilities that let them pull it off, and a tiny bit of luck. I set up a combat scene, but it just didn’t come out that way. I hope the players got some measure of satisfaction out of it. Ah well, next week should be more interesting as they get to play round up the bad guys since Riker’s can now start to repair get secure again as the last holdouts were in wing D. The city still has temporary offsite holding facilities set up, but being able to get the dangerous ones back into an actual prison will be good.
