Authorial Highlights
- GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves aka Marl Ankh-3 is in the hands of Steve Jackson Games. I think it is next up in the queue for editing.
- I have outlined a novel I want to finish in the first quarter of 2023. It’s the “Book One” of my NaNoWriMo novella. Projecting at least 120,000 words.
- GURPS Whatchamacallit is at about 97% done for the first draft. It’s edited. It’s finished. I was given the option to keep alpha-testing it though with monthly updates on my status and I took it. The editing-queue is pretty full at the moment and this is a book than can absolutely use more time to be even better than it is.
- The Fantasy Trip Quick Quest “The Gallery of Hands” is done and remains in the hands of Steve Jackson.
- My article for the fanzine GATE for The Fantasy Trip is with the publisher. Still waiting to see when it’ll appear. Soon I hope.
- My article for Hexagram for The Fantasy Trip remains submitted.
- I didn’t spend a any time on “Short Circuit” this month and that annoys me. A lot.
- Stay waiting for info on the query I sent in for a GURPS supplement I want to write with J. Edward Tremlett. Outline was sent off. We’ll see where it goes.
- I currently have seven outstanding contracts/jobs: GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves, my GATE entry, another Hexagram entry, a fiction novel, a TFT Quick Quest, the Short Circuit dice game, and GURPS Whatchamacallit.
- I did near nothing this month writing-wise. That wasn’t the intent, but it’s what happened and I feel rejuvenated for it.
- Total wordcount for January is I hope going to be 20,000 words. I have some non-writing tasks (such as taxes) which are going to eat my time right up.
Blog Highlights
- Blog entries have been around 0 per week.
- Working on doing a facelift for the blog. Still not completely satisfied with it at the moment.
- Wrote a handful entries.
Patreon Highlights
- Patreon remained on track for the month. Still releasing them to schedule.
- I gained 5 patrons and lost 0 patrons. 3 patrons modified their pledge.
- No fiction again. Probably going to hold off on this to wait for the new year.
- I made changes on my Patreon. Namely, the fact that I eliminated lower tiers: It’s all $5 and up now. Read about it here if you’re a patron.
Miscellaneous Related News
- Aeon hit the hiatus window more or less. Ran one session for C-Team. Mostly putting together other PCs for the campaign. Players switch up a bit. We’ll see how that goes as some old players have come back.
- I continue my learning in the Virginia Board of Workforce Development program. I had a teacher cancel the last class I needed this month, so phase two should be done by the end of January (I hope).
