Carpe Blogiem: Author, Patreon, and Blog Highlights – March & April 2022

Authorial Highlights

  • GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves aka Marl Ankh-3 is in the hands of Steve Jackson Games.
  • Still working on that novel. The ending is proving hard – I know what I want it to be but getting there and doing it right is eating time.
  • I currently have one outstanding contract: GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves.
  • I have submitted the proposal for a GURPS book I want to write. I heard back on the proposal I sent in and we’re now ironing out the details. Hopefully contracted soon.

Blog Highlights

  • Blog entries have been around 0-1 per week – mostly session reports. :-/
  • Working on doing a facelift for the blog. Gonna roll that out as soon as I’m satisfied.

Patreon Highlights

  • Patreon remained on track for the month. Still releasing them to schedule.
  • I lost one patron in March and another in April. Gained three in the process so worked out a bit.
  • Voting. Me am need ideas. Me no have ideas. *beats club on ground at obelisk*
  • No fiction was released during March or April, I have decided I will be releasing the book I just wrote a chapter at a time (and rough) through Patreon. People seem to want fiction and honestly I need to break in over there.

Miscellaneous Related News

  • My campaign “A Thousand Tiny Gods” was put on hold for all of March and April as well because one of the player’s schedules temporary changed.
  • I retired one of the multishot campaigns – we got to 26 sessions – I’ll probably come back to it at some point. The other is ongoing. I started a new “alternate campaign” for the group (B-Team) whose campaign just retired. This should prove interesting – they are playing world-hopping treasure hunters.
