The group has emerged from the water under the New Airport Way around B653. Hamilton scouts via his clairvoyance, investigating, noting that there’s helicopters still there, a large amount of black clad soldiers, and a trio of three people with metahuman abilities and at least eleven more on top of the roof. There’s something weird inside the building that he can’t quite discern what it is as he notes a large amount of boxes inside that he can’t actually penetrate with his vision. He looks around and notices a fountain on the far side of the airport whereupon Fiona stunts in a tunnel to get them to the fountain.

There’s discussion, while in the fountain, about what they should do and move. There’s multiple soldiers around and Hamilton notices an air traffic controller is in the tower that’s clearly not all there as he’s talking into a microphone that isn’t connected to anything. Going around through the parking lot is probably going to be their best bet to avoid everyone as they head south around the building except for Warren who ends up splashing around in the fountain behind the group drawing the attention of one of the guards on top of the roof who comes over to see Warren splashing around, Hamilton alerts the group to it and Harlowe tells Warren to just pick up some change in the fountain fooling the guard for a bit as he then tells the rest of the group to not go into the rather noisy bushes and stick close to the wall of the building. Harlowe instructs Warren to look at the coins, declare the years and throw some away. Harlowe moves below where the Thulian is aiming at Warren, rather amusedly as Fiona starts to climb the building, intending to tidal wave the Thule off.
Harlowe awaits the Thulian Soldier to move before he makes his move upwards. Hamilton waits for the splashing to happen as well before he’s going to fire an arrow at one of the soldiers, same with Harvey. Fiona gathers water and charges forwards on her waves, while Hamilton lets loose some arrows to the soldiers elbows and Harvey fires his plasma caster at the sodden soldier, striking him in the abdomen as Fiona keeps launching more soldiers off the building for a total of four soldiers off the roof. Tabitha moves to climb the roof after acquiring super regeneration. Thulian Soldiers start firing at Fiona as the solider set on fire stops and rolls to put the fire out. When the Thule soldier moves to shoot Harlowe, he runs upwards onto the roof, slices through the soldier’s firearm, knocks him off the roof with his force wave, and then sets up a forcefield for protection against bullets as Harvey keeps dodging bullets. Lynn mentally stabs the soldier right in front of Fiona, knocking him out while Warren rolls backwards out of the fountain.
Harlowe, seeing people firing at Fiona, charges forwards and starts setting up force fields to help block bullets from hitting Fiona to some extent. Hamilton readies a fire arrow and lets it loose against a soldier dismembering the soldier’s leg leaving him to bleed out. A bolt of lightning moves towards Hamilton to strike the bush across the airfield and hitting Hamilton who manages to ground himself enough to avoid the damage.
Aftermath
Harvey turns around and fires at the person that has formed from the lightning bolt behind them with his power dampening drugs that doesn’t work before firing the plasma caster only for Killswitch, the lightning man, to dodge it. Fiona continues to knock the soldiers off the roof.
After Action Report (GM)
This was a good session that started me annoyed (lost one player to another team and one player resigned), was then fun, then had to stop early because we had technical difficulties with the VTT that took me about 90 minutes after the session to diagnose. I hate stopping in the middle of a combat, but that’s just what happens sometimes. Luckily, the players were okay with it and we’ll pick up next week. So far, the combat has turned out pretty damn brutal. We’ll see who survives.
