Previously . . .

Fiona has just washed several more opponents off the building leaving her open for a lot of rapid fire. One of their opponents turns into a multiphasic ball of light and appears right onto the roof next and then darts at her, with her just barely dodging as the water around her flash boils for a moment. Several Thule soldiers get to their feet and more fire at Fiona and Hamilton.

Luton Part II: Electric Boogaloo

Fiona, Hamilton, Harlowe, and Harvey
Luton Airport
Wednesday August 13th, 2008, 2100 hours
Airport Way, Luton LU2 9LY, United Kingdom

Harlowe moves forwards, knocking another soldier off the roof and knocking the other down before binding the fallen soldier with a force field. Hamilton, with Killswitch behind him, runs towards the building and jumps above Harvey at the corner before turning around and nocks a fire arrow, shooting at Killswitch below him who slides to the side. Fiona keeps moving forwards on her wave of water knocking the final unbothered soldier off the roof before knocking the force field bound soldier off the roof before dropping off the roof onto an awning and then onto the tarmac. Harvey targets Killswitch with a knockout round who zips in closer and then onto the roof when Harvey fires the plasma caster at them. Lux turns to combat Harlowe, firing off a ball of light at him which sparks out even more light which Harlowe blocks off with his shield before firing off a wide-angle flash of light to blind Harlowe that he just barely avoids by turning his head away and closing his eyes for a moment. Killswitch turns to Hamilton and activates some kind of crackling aura forcing Hamilton to jump off the roof only to find Killswitch waiting for him at the bottom, grabbing at the metal pipe that Killswitch used to travel upwards in the first place to ground himself as a defense. Tabitha finally gets onto the roof while soldiers turn to fire on Fiona. One soldier throws a grenade at her only for Fiona to hit it with a blast of water which causes it to detonate and immediately freeze and travel back towards Fiona who disconnects from the water and is stumbled by being struck with a bullet, falling prone. Two soldiers fires at Harvey who isn’t able to dodge and gets several rounds into his back that doesn’t penetrate his armor. Lynn mind-stabs the soldier that threw the grenade at Fiona while Warren scrambles away and towards cover.

With Harlowe now up, he takes a near hairpin turn and faces off against Lux, hitting him and seems to have knocked him out with a single Force Wave, then binding him with another force field before turning back towards the parking lot and putting a force field up before him to protect from gunfire. Hamilton takes two full-on swings at Killswitch’s skull with his bow, delivering a glancing blow stunning Killswitch with the first and then knocking him out with the second. Fiona does an acrobatic stand to get to her feet. Harvey steps back around the corner and fires a normal round from his wrist gun at the arm of the first soldier that fired at him, crippling his arm, and then fires again at a soldier further out crippling their arm as well. The soldiers start firing all over, one hitting Fiona. Another fires at Tabitha who has jumped off the roof where Harlowe puts a force field in front of her to keep her from taking too severe of damage. The burning soldier throws a grenade behind Harvey only for Harvey to catch it and prepare to throw it back. Tabitha gets even more riddled with bullets while Lynn mind stabs nearly everyone in the battlefield causing several to drop into a seizure as multiple people drop and several more disappear in motes of light alongside the plane.

The group is rather confused, for the most part, and attempts to bandage up some of the worst of the injured Thule soldiers as Harlowe checks the radio settings in the Black Hawk helicopters checking out the frequencies they were transmitting on for later when a panel van shows up and a man steps out that Harlowe can identify as his uncle, Harrison who had been diverted to Luton Airport as he was flying in as a surprise chaperone. In the passenger seat, he asks Harlowe what was going on and if there really were guns. Fiona attempts to deflect it while Harlowe tells her to knock off the BS and says that he’ll tell them back when they get to the hotel. They stop for ice cream on the way.

Aftermath

Back at the hotel, Ulrich and Steve have been looking at Jeraki’s notebook while Carol and Ray have been speak with Heather. Ulrich is surprised at Harrison’s presence as he wasn’t expecting him so soon. They give a report to Ulrich, which he compiles. Harrison just hugs Harlowe and one can see Harlowe visibly relax. As they speak with Harrison, getting him up to speed, taking notes on things. Harlowe also introduces Harrison to the group, that he’s the owner of a logistics company called Wayfinder Solutions, he also takes a look at Jeraki’s notebook, saying he’d like to take a look at the rest of the things in Jeraki’s trunk and that he may potentially have the sources to get them. The adults excuse themselves leaving the group to themself. They speak with Ray and Carol when Heather excuses herself to another room. Carol is rather distraught over what Heather has told them, that people just kept using her and that they may need to take a look at what her power has done to her brain via a cat scan or MRI.

After Action Report (GM)

It was so good to get this combat done. The poor PCs have been stuck at the airport fighting nazis for like a month now. UGH. Also, got to introduce Harrison which was good because he’s been a waiting in the wings NPC for some time now. Overall, great game. Didn’t turn out like I expected because the players kept getting very lucky on rolls.
