Carpe Blogiem: Author, Patreon, and Blog Highlights – June 2022

Authorial Highlights

  • GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves aka Marl Ankh-3 is in the hands of Steve Jackson Games.
  • The Novel (which we’ll call “Ichored Veins”) is with some trusted reviewers who are taking notes of both the plot and grammar type for me. So far, it has some structural issues, but one of the readers said, “It’s damn enjoyable to read and that’s all that counts right now.” I’ll take that as a win.
  • I signed a contract for a new GURPS offering on 6/16/2022! I’m gonna call this one “Whatchamacallit.” And that’s all I’ll say about it for right now.
  • I wrote 500 words for a The Fantasy Trip Quick Quest. Current name is “The Gallery of Hands”.
  • I sold Nibelung aka “Nordlond Magic Items” to Douglas Cole and he was kind of to take it off my hands.
  • I currently have two outstanding contracts: GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves and Whatchamacallit.
  • Total wordcount this month was 19,000 new words.

Blog Highlights

  • Blog entries have been around 1-2 per week – a mix of session reports and back to your regularly scheduled blogging.
  • Working on doing a facelift for the blog. Gonna roll that out as soon as I’m satisfied.
  • Wrote several new entries to be posted later.

Patreon Highlights

  • Patreon remained on track for the month. Still releasing them to schedule.
  • I lost three patrons in June and gained two.
  • Voting. Me am need ideas. Me no have ideas. *beats club on ground at obelisk moar*
  • No fiction again, but SOON. Oh, yes. SOON.

Miscellaneous Related News

  • I have cycled through “A Thousand Tiny Gods” and my multiverse and have decided to return to my supers campaign “Aeon”. I haven’t touched it in several years and I want to have something positive and bright in my life right now. This does mean most of my current players will need to make characters and oof. That’s gonna be a bit. Hopefully only a week at most. Less is better.
