Previously . . .
The group is still at the Savoy with the older adults having a conference in another room while Heather is sleeping in yet another room. After a bit, Steve comes back into the room looking much better telling them that Harrison and Ulrich are still talking. Harvey asked if they learned anything useful, and not really. The book they retrieved really isn’t that useful and is full of crazy stuff, including what looks like a letter from someone else that makes reference to them. Hamilton is curious and asks himself if it would be better to stay or go, knowing they’d be safe if they left but in danger if they didn’t. Fiona still wants to know what was going on with the plane as Hamilton could swear that he’d seen it even with his abilities.

Eventually Harrison and Ulrich come back in, arms crossed, and Ulrich sets the journal down. They didn’t find anything in them. There’s no obvious codes or ciphers or hidden texts. Fiona asks about the part mentioning them and Ulrich holds up two old photocopied notes that look like they’ve come from another book. Fiona wants to know if it’s a book about them of some kind. The second one is a sketchy drawing of some kind of tunnel and a body’s silhouette, face down where they can’t see the face that fills folks with a sense of dread. Hamilton takes a look at it, trying to see its past, and fails when Harvey then takes up the piece of paper to attempt the same. He was able to determine it’s from the 90s and the machine it was photocopied on and a few various other bits and enough leftover bodily bits to get enough DNA to perfectly sequence.
He moves to do a similar analysis of the other photocopied paper, a page involving the battle at the Reading Room in the British Museum, enough to determine that it was copied by the same person and able to tell that they’re photocopies of photocopies of photocopies. The original seems to have been from the 90s, though the photocopy was a bit newer. There’s no signatures on them and Jeraki’s book didn’t mention anything either about them or the letter that was in the book.
They discuss what they need to do, Fiona at least wants to continue and see France. Harvey wants to know what Harrison and Ulrich have for advice. Harrison tells them that the only thing they need to ask is what’s next? What they need to do as the next step, if they want to continue to get involved. Harrison also says that he’d have someone he knows look into getting the rest of Jeraki’s works from them. Hamilton would be happy to just go on with his trip and keep going rather than go back home. Ulrich doesn’t look like he enjoys the choice and just gives out a grunt of acknowledgement.
MRIght

The next morning, Fiona and Harvey go with Heather to get her a brain scan, Fiona mostly going in case they need to pay for anything. Harrison and Hamilton have plans to go check out the box of Jeraki’s stuff. They get Heather in easily, saying that she was in a fight and worried about a concussion, doing several contrast MRIs and various panels for metabolic workups. There are several malformations in her, the areas normally associated with empathy and ability to work in a group is noticeably smaller, the doctor looking at the results says that’s obviously a psychopath. Her brain isn’t lighting up the way that it’s supposed to when questions are asked. Harvey is able to guess that the use of her powers is causing the acceleration of the malformations in those areas of the brain, looking at gene therapy treatments for psychopathy. Once Heather is done with the MRI and it seems that Heather is fine, Fiona goes to check out another museum.
Harlowe gets dragged along with Harrison, Ulrich, and Hamilton to view the works of Jeraki and is made to take notes and photographs of things. Giving them a comprehensive stack of papers for some reason while Ulrich double checks the box for hidden slips.
Aftermath
A quick time skip later and they’re in Munich, Germany on day ten of their trip going on a free day. There’s plenty of fun things to do in Munich. Plenty of beer to drink if they wanted, where Hamilton is pretty sure exactly how many beers he could drink which is definitely more than 4. Fiona moves to go the Brauhaus to look at art while Hamilton walks around just taking in the architecture. Fiona attempts to go on a sort of pub crawl every evening, looking at the various nightclubs and museums. Harvey, during their time, decides to sample the locals’ DNA and do his own thing, still working on the gene therapy.
